SHINE desires to spread the light of the gospel through transformative retreats and service to communities in need throughout country. While Brandon was on SHINE’s staff, they developed a close relationship doing ministry together and still often collaborate on events and missions.

Catholic Sports Radio is a ministry “located at the intersection of your faith life and sports life.” Having started in February 2019, the weekly podcast features interviews with Catholic guests – current or former athletes, coaches, referees/umpires, clergy, administrators, and more, from the pro, amateur, and scholastic ranks – about the intersection of their faith life and their sports life. One of the pillars of founder and host Bruce Wawrzyniak’s ministry is that sports are great and have a lot of wonderful qualities (good sportsmanship, physical fitness, teamwork) and it’s okay to want to pursue an athletic career, but we worship God and God alone. We do not worship sport.
A cradle Catholic, Wawrzyniak worked for a National Hockey League team, was VP/Public Relations for the National Lacrosse League, and worked in the Olympic Movement, including having been Chief Press Officer at two Summer Olympics.
